    AAR Healthcare Ltd. Uganda is the leading healthcare company in Uganda having started operations in 1994. In 2012, they evolved into two independent companies; AAR Healthcare Ltd which provides quality and affordable medical services through its clinic network, and AAR Insurance Ltd which still operates in Uganda as AAR Health Services (U) Ltd.     Leveraging on AAR’s expertise in health delivery, and combining it with the AAR founders family’s commitment towards health around the world, the AAR Beckmann Trust brings programmes that provide hands-on opportunities for communities to improve their environment, and engage in income- generating and sustainable activities to attain access to health.

    Activities include:

    • Deworming exercises in schools
    • Tree planting drives
    • Health camps in communities with little or no access to medical
    • Onsite medical camps at client premises for the general public

    AAR Credit Services is a credit only microfinance institution registered in Nairobi in May 2000, as an offshoot of the AAR Group of Companies with operations in Kenya and Uganda.

    Over the years, the Company has built a solid credit reputation with a number of banks and boutique wholesale financiers which has enabled it to secure growing wholesale financing facilities for its expanding business.

    AAR Credit Services runs its operations from its office in Nairobi, through a branchless banking business model. The majority of its customer loans are originated by its strategic business partners.

    AAR Healthcare (K) Limited is the largest provider of out-patient healthcare services in the East Africa region running a network of 18 Medical Centers in Kenya and 38 in total across the East Africa region - serving over 650,000 clients annually. The company also provides reliable ambulance and emergency rescue services within flexible packages that meet the needs of clients.

    AAR Healthcare is the pioneer of private healthcare in the region with three subsidiaries in East Africa and one hospital in Uganda. These include:

  • Sancare Insurance Zambia

    In 2013, Afrocentric Health Solutions, Kenya was engaged by African Life Assurance (Now Sanlam Zambia) to provide consultancy and management expertise in healthcare management solutions to their medical division.

    In 2014, Afrocentric Kenya and AAR Insurance holdings merged thereby incorporating the Sancare medical division of Sanlam to a fully incorporated insurance company trading as Sancare Insurance Zambia It has since operated from 2014 to date with two branches in Lusaka and Kitwe in the Copper Belt with over 52000 members with GWP of 6.6M USD.
