Overall Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, The Unit Manager will effectively manage a unit of sales agents to offer AAR Insurance products (Medical and General) to customers to achieve the company’s objective.

Key Responsibilities 

• Recruit, maintain, and manage a unit of not less than 50 productive independent agents 
• Meet and exceed production targets for the unit and their personal sales
• To prepare and submit production reports to the BDMS
• Take responsibility for agents’ compliance in their teams.
• Schedule one-on-one meetings with members of his/her unit  and manage unit meetings in order to review, train, motivate, and direct the team
• To field underwrite all proposal forms, by ensuring all KYC documentation is properly done. 
• Liaise with the respective market heads to organize marketing  support, activations & engagements 
• To cultivate and maintain an effective professional and business climate in the unit.
• Accompany the team members  to business   presentations and sessions and ensure proper business assembly and onward transmission of the production by the team.
• Assist the BDM in interpreting and supporting the company’s policies and procedures and any other administrative duties.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Holders of a Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Possess at least 2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing preferably in the insurance industry.
• Must possess COP and a valid IRA license.
• Solid understanding of the Medical Insurance concepts.
• Experience as an insurance agent will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages.
