Justine Kosgei
Principal Officer
Justine is the current CEO & Principal Officer of AAR Insurance Kenya. He brings extensive experience in senior management roles, including Divisional Director – Health Insurance at APA Insurance, Head of Operations at Old Mutual Rwanda, Head of Products and Development at Old Mutual Kenya, and Regional Technical Manager EA at Old Mutual.
He has excelled in different functions such as actuarial, operations, technical and strategy in different countries in East and South Africa.
Justine has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Actuarial Science), is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (AIIK), a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.

Hosea Kiprop, CFO at AAR Insurance Group, is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in finance, leadership, and operations management. He brings expertise in corporate governance, cost reduction, financial controls, and profit maximization.
With a strong track record in streamlining business operations and driving growth, Hosea’s skills in influencing critical decisions and building positive relationships have been instrumental in his success.
Holding an MBA from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nairobi, he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of esteemed professional institutes. Outside of work, Hosea enjoys coaching, mentoring, and playing golf, reflecting his commitment to personal and professional development.

Mohammed Ssebaale
Chief Operating Officer AAR General Insurance Uganda
Ssebaale Mohammed is the Chief Operating Officer at AAR Insurance Uganda, where he provides strategic and operational leadership to drive business performance, growth, and service excellence. With over 15 years of experience across insurance, finance, accounting, and business management, he has built a strong track record in financial stewardship, operational efficiency, and organizational leadership.
Prior to his current role, Mohammed served as Financial Controller at AAR Health Services Uganda and held the position of Chief Accountant at Jubilee Insurance Company of Uganda, where he led financial and management reporting, budgeting, treasury management, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, and financial controls. Earlier in his career, he served as Management Accountant at AAR Health Services Uganda.
Alongside his corporate leadership journey, Mohammed has made a significant contribution to academia as a Lecturer at Makerere University Business School since 2006. His work includes facilitating student learning, examining students, conducting research, and supervising academic projects.
Mohammed holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Makerere University. He is also a qualified accounting professional with both ACCA and CPA certifications.
His expertise spans financial analysis, financial reporting, operational management, governance, and business transformation.

James is a highly regarded Sales & Distribution leader with extensive experience in developing sales and distribution networks for renowned companies such as Old Mutual and Jubilee Health Insurance, among others. With a solid background as a Certified Coach and an alumnus of Strathmore Business School, James is currently pursuing further studies at Cambridge International College.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, James has a fun and interesting side. He is known for his jovial personality and his enthusiasm for taking risks. An ardent risk taker, James also has a passion for urban farming, which showcases his diverse interests beyond the corporate world.
With his wealth of experience, educational background, and vibrant personality, James brings a unique blend of expertise and character to any project or team he is a part of.

Graceanne Kamau is a highly accomplished professional in Accounting, Finance, and Risk Management. With over 14 years of experience, she has excelled in business strategy, financial management, risk analysis, and compliance. Notably, she developed an automatic motor insurance system that increased customer satisfaction by 40% and a framework that improved customer retention, revenue, and market share.
As Head of Risk and Compliance at AAR Insurance, she shapes responsible risk management strategies and contributes to global insurance literacy. Graceanne holds an MBA and a bacheloru2019s degree in Commerce, along with certifications in various fields. She also volunteers in the Sister-to-Sister Mentorship Program, guiding pupils in pursuing their ambitions relentlessly.

Meet Sheila, currently the Group Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at AAR Insurance. Sheila is an accomplished Brand, Marketing and Communications Professional with over 10 years extensive experience in bringing brands to life as well as developing and executing strategic brand initiatives that resonate with audiences and drive impactful results.
She is also passionate about building strong brand identities that enhance customer experience and forges meaningful connections with key stakeholders.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business Administration – Marketing and Management, and an MBA in Strategic Management both from the United States International University – Africa.

Eugene Sanya

Eugene Sanya brings nearly 13 years of experience at AAR, in various Technology roles. He began as an IT Officer in 2010 and then became Ag.
Network and Security Administrator in 2012. In 2013, he transitioned to ICT Manager at AAR Insurance Tanzania Ltd (now Assemble Insurance Tanzania Ltd). In 2020, Eugene returned to Kenya as the ICT Project Manager and later the ICT Manager. He now serves as the Group Head of Technology.
Eugene holds a BSc in Computer Science and certifications in Project Management, CCNA, CCNSP, and ITIL V3. He possesses strong expertise in leading the implementation of Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure and is driving Digital Transformation at AAR Insurance Kenya Ltd

Caleb Maina
Group Head of Internal Audit
Caleb Maina is a governance, risk, and internal audit executive with over 20 years of experience strengthening enterprise accountability, risk oversight, and control environments across complex financial services institutions in Africa.
His career covers Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ghana, and Eswatini, with experience in internal audit, risk management, governance, compliance, fraud investigations, and audit leadership. Over the years, he has helped strengthen internal audit functions by moving them beyond compliance into a more practical and business-focused role.
Before joining AAR Insurance, Caleb spent over 15 years at UAP Old Mutual Group in senior internal audit roles, supporting governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and board reporting across different business environments.
He is passionate about improving internal audit practices and helping organizations strengthen accountability, manage risk, and respond effectively to changing business and regulatory environments.
Caleb holds an MBA in Finance from Kenya Methodist University and is currently undertaking the Senior Leadership Management Program at Strathmore Business School. He also holds professional certifications including CPA(K), CISA, CFE, CMIRM, CPM, and QMS Auditor.
