On 16th February, AAR Insurance teamed up with Lumesa Insurtech to launch a Comprehensive Creatives Insurance Package, designed specifically for Kenya’s growing creator economy. This innovative solution supports digital content creators, actors, and filmmakers, ensuring protection for both individuals and their equipment.

As the creative industry continues to shape culture and drive innovation, the need for tailored insurance solutions has never been greater. The new package combines health coverage with equipment and gadget protection, along with additional riders that address the unique risks creatives face.

The launch event, attended by the Kenya Actors Guild, the Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK), and film industry representatives, featured an engaging panel discussion highlighting the importance of insurance as career security. Panelists included MC Jesse (DCCAK), Hazel Kingori (Association of Kenya Insurers), Amy Mungai (Khalid Issa & Associates), and Olwan Dickens (Kenya Actors Guild).

The product unveiling was led by Jacquiline Njogu, Bancassurance & Alternative Channels Lead at AAR Insurance, alongside Ted Ochola, Michael Otieno Okoth, and Benjamin Kaloki. The partnership was officially signed by Jacquiline Njogu and Mercy Otieno, marking a new chapter in protecting Kenya’s creative talent.

At AAR Insurance, we believe the creative industry should not only innovate and create—it must also protect its creators.
